Barkland Park Goes to the Dogs

Residents can share a great day outdoors with their canine pals at Parkland’s beautiful Barkland. This sprawling park first opened in 2012 and spans over two acres. There’s plenty of fun in the sun for both dogs and their humans. While the pups run and play, there’s seating and covered pavilions for relaxation.Separate sections are available for small and large dogs. 

While at the park, dogs can stay hydrated at the water fountains sized just for them. When it’s time to cool down or clean up after a busy day, Barkland even has a pet washing station. Barkland is a great place for residents to meet up with other dog lovers and for dogs to get social interaction with others. It’s also a chance to keep dogs fit and healthy and get some energy out. 

Of course safety is a priority at Barkland, which is an unsupervised facility. Pet owners are responsible to ensure their dog is healthy and up to date on all of their shots. They are also liable for any damages their pups may cause to the facility or to other dogs. It is a good idea to check the rules posted at the park before entering. 

Barkland Dog Park is located at 9245 Ranch Road.

Hours are 7:30 a.m. to Sunset daily, except noon to sunset on Wednesdays.
